I've been slowly building up my PVR. Up to now, I've been running 1.08 on a PC monitor using the standard VGA connector. I'm using the Biostar TF7050-M2 motherboard that also has s-video out on it. So I moved it over to the TV (old CRT, not HDTV), connected up the s-video to the TV and it worked the first time. I decided to change the resolution as I thought it might look better at a lower resolution, but it came up with a scambled looking image. I've tried about a dozen different resolution/color/refresh settings and they do change the scramble pattern, but nothing is readable. To describe what it looks like, if you have an old pc monitor and try and push the resolution to high it would give you a similar pattern. More modern monitors seem to just report that they are "out of range."
Is their a known good resolution for sending an svideo signal into a tv?
I also just hooked it to another tv using an svideo->RCA adapter and also got the scambled pattern.
