isn't it time for an EPG forum here?

I wont bother creating one yet, but I'll see if I think one is required when the end of the zap2it service gets closer. We've never required on in the past, so I'm inclined to think it just needs a wiki page updated to explain the options to US/Canada users that have a bit of uncertainty.

For now I'm still advising people to just stick with zap2it until it gets a bit closer. All the options are still a work in progress, and I'd prefer them to settle down a bit before everyone tries picking one.

I want to reopen this wishlist idea. EPG posts are all over the forum and it would be nice to see it more focused. I don't think it's just an SD startup thing either and as new users try the alternatives there is going to be ongoing questions placed everywhere.

mvallevand: and zehd: I'm with both of you on this one... any software product benefits from accurate and comprehensive documentation... but at the same time, there will always be EPG delivery problems in some region or other which need to be fixed before anything could appear in the wiki.

IMHO the EPG is so central to the enjoyment (not to mention the WAF) of gbpvr and I suppose any other HTPC environment that it merits both a good wiki page and a section in the forum... Smile

(IMHO we could also do with a smiley for IMHO)

I'd like to 2nd/3rd an EPG forum. There's so many folks doing different stuff with scrapers / downlaoders / enhanced EPG's etc it is a growth industry all on its own :-)

I'll add my vote, even if its just part of the plugins forum. i was gonna request one for yapi2xml only because i'm seeing more posts all over than just in its one forum post. On top of which its hard to track the issues in one thread.

zehd has just 'Regionalised' the EPG wiki page - it might be worth a forum of it's own just like plugins, with subforums for each region...
