Its not a big deal but just wondering

heres the basic set up
server has 1 pvr150 ,1pvr500,1dvb-s card avermedia a700
all using xmltv for tv guide
using file streaming (live tv with file sharing just doeant work so i cant compare)

The thing is from both client machines 1 wired 1 wireless
I can only use the avermedia a700 when i select live tv
if i select Prime(prime is only broadcast analog) it says there are no tuners available

But if i select record from the guide (client machine)then watch i can use any tuner then watch back over the network while recording no problems

is this normal

This is probably related to the fact live tv tries to return to the channel it last viewed. If it is finding that specific channel isnt available on any of the other capture device, then it gives you the message.

When you start tv from the 'watch' button in the tv guide you can choose to watch any channel you want.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

And you definitely have prime enabled on more than one capture source?

on the server machine it can record any channel on any card but prime becuase its analog
but on the client it is definately only using the dvb-s card for live tv
cant access any other tuner yet it shows all four tuners when i click on icon in task bar and says what they are doing
tried reloading with new config on client still the same

NO tuners are available to watch the current selection is what it says in the box

ok tried watching star trek at 11:59 on prime dunno if that helps but

Is there any chance you could zip and attach your gbpvr.db3 file? or email it to me if you'd prefer?

I think you've got your device numbers wrong, or one of your devices was not present at the time it attempted to start live tv.

It might give a few more clues if you run FilterCheck then attach the resulting FilterCheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6
