I've just received a Taiwanese USB DVB-S device (BDA).

Graphedit shows that it is a Receiver device (like [Hauppauge Nova-T USB2])
(there are no Tuner or Capture pins)

Here is my bda.ini entry.

[LME DVB-S DM04]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=LME BDA DVBS
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Adding the above allows GB-PVR to correctly recognise the device with the BDA Recording Plugin.

However, when I go to "Map digital channels to EPG channels" and scan for channels it only picks up the *one* channel that the device was set to with an external program (BlazeDVD in this case). Changing the channel with the external program and then rerunning GBPVR config, it picks up the new channel in the Scan (but not the previous). If I attempt to map more than one channel this way (i.e. using the external program to change the channel), then I'm still stuck when I attempt to swap channels with the Live TV or record a channel that is not the one that BlazeDVD set, as this log file demonstrates:

Can you zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log files?

Thanks sub!

Attached are my log files. I ran the rescan on the digital channel mapping window (BDA plugin) just before making these log files. As you can see, only one channel was detected.

Sorry I'm not really sure. It looks like GB-PVR is correctly trying to change frequencies and the device isnt reporting any problems, but stays locked to whatever frequency was in use prior to using GB-PVR. (looks like a sky frequency rather than freeview)

Hi Domingo

I have just purchased the same equipment as you, and as you have, I also have the same exact behavior. Were you able to find a fix. I see you and 2 others have reported this problem and got no where with a fix published anywhere here.

Regards../

Open up your box and check what tuner and chipset you have (you have to pull out the little rubber feet to get to the screws). You will either have an LG TDQY-P001F tuner, or a Sharp 0194 tuner. Also, your chip will either be LME2510 or LME2510C.
[URL="http://www.leaguerme.com/English/ShowArticle.asp?ArticleID=62"]
Now go to this link[/URL] and look for the driver that matches your tuner and chip. Note that these are new drivers as of May 09. You'll notice that there's a plug-in to do DiSC - I haven't tried it, as I have only one dish/LNB hooked into this tuner.

I had the LG tuner and the LME2510 chip. After running filter check, I added the following to the BDA.INI:

Code:
[LME DM04]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=LME_PCTV_DVBS_LG
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Now all is good and I can change channels just fine. This is a nice cheap way to add a DVB-S tuner to a PVR that is out of PCI/PCIe slots (like my Micro ATX PVR).

Siliconaudio, Great help! Awesome!
I have exactly the same tuner, and your settings worked wonders.
Thank you.

But of course, now I can start with the tweaks. Wink

Hi Cacho,

I bought mine off eBay before they were available on TradeMe. I couldn't get it going so it sat in my garage for several months. When I found that Leaguerme had these new drivers the other day, I found the energy to give it another go. I find these little things do channel changes faster than my Twinhan cards. I'm now interested in seeing if I can get more than one going. Next time I'm flush, I might order a 2nd unit.

Glad you got yours going too Smile

Bill.

Bill, which device did you buy? On Trademe, at present, is one (described below) for $70. I'm wondering whether these ones will work with GBPVR.

PCI Satellite TV Receiver is a professional digital satellite TV card which allows you to watch high quality digital TV simply on your PC. A great deal of practical functions such as instant recording, time-shifting, EPG, Teletext.

* High quality digital satellite TV & radio receiving (DVB-S).
* DVB data service.
* Instant recording: Record digitally as MPEG II format. 1 hour digital TV program is about 1.7G.
* Schedule recording: You can set your own recording list and playback whenever you like.
* Time-shifting: You can pause live TV shows and never miss any marvelous moment.
* Electronic program guide (EPG): EPG tables offer the most updated channel information.
* Teletext: Teletext page is only available in certain areas.
* Still frame capture.
* Multi channel preview matrix.
* Support DiSEqC1.2 & USALS.
* Transponder & satellite auto scan.
* Viewing & schedule recording different channels simultaneously.
* 16:9 wide screen.
* Multi-language output.
* Favorite list.
* Video quality adjustment.
* MPEG II software decoding.
* Support remote control.
* Chipset: SDMC DM1105
C2Duo E8400, 4GB, GE8600GT, PCH A-100, HVR2200, NPVR 1.5.31, Win 7 x64.
