DVico Fusion HDTV dual digital 4

Has anyone here used the above mentioned TV Tuner card with gb-pvr. I am starting to build my system and am considering getting this card, but would like some feedback first. I have conducted a search on the forum and all the messages relate to the older version where one of the tuners was actually USB.

In this version of the card, both are PCI.

I'm also looking at replacing one of my ASUS P7131 cards with one of the Dvico Fusion HDTV Dual Digital 4 cards (PCI only - both tuners).

Any experiences (good or bad) on this hardware? I'm using the 1.0.16 release of GB-PVR.

Ive got one and Id have to say the path hasnt been as easy as Id like.
Initial BDA setup for Tuner 1 was ok , but I'm _still_ having issues with getting the app to use second tuner for epg and viewing.
With the native Dvico software it works fine .. incl PIP (which I wish gbpvr supported cleanly)
In hindsite Id get Hauppage, better support out of the box, and more gbpvr users out there.

Thanks - Hauppauge looks to be the be the best option.

I actually bought one last week on eBay (Nova-T-500) but it has also not been one of seamless transition.

Intitially the two different cards (ASUS P7131 Dual) didn't play nicely together (failing to detect cards, channels and other errors) but I've perservered and got to the stage where one of the ASUS cards and the Hauppauge "work" together with the occasional recording not working (empty data file).

I'm not sure why but I can detect ABC but not ABC2.

The fun of it :-)

Howdy. Im still having issues with the second tuner not being recognised for use.
Can anyone out there pls assist with a basic step x step of how to set up this dual tuner for GBPVR? I _think_ Ive got the bDA.ini right..
Let me know what info to post to help. BTW Im on v1.1.5 now.
I getting so p*ssed with this card, Im thinking of taking the easier(?) path of a nova-t-500. Any experiences there?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Also run filtercheck.exe from the gbpvr directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log that gets created.

Ok Tks sub ... here are the logs, the bda.ini and the filtercheck logs..
I can get the second tuner to scan channels . problem is with recording one prog, then starting to watch another.. just offers me the option to watch the recording prog.

Sorry you'll need to set you logging level back to 'debug' then reproduce this problem and repost the logs.

ok sub, here are the logs with debug on..
are we meant to load epgs for each tuner and assign channels etc. mine wont do this ..... might be in the logs

What exactly was the problem you reproduced prior to posting the logs? This will help me know what I'm looking for. (I cant see any attempt to use live tv in those debug logs)
