I've been testing the new version and found it won't wake my system.

I tried normal scheduled recording and manual recording but it wouldn't wake.

Reverted to the previous release and all works as it should.

I noticed via regmon that 1.0.16 made repeated queries for a "NoWakeUps" value in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Devnz reg key, the previous release doesn't seem to do this. Don't know if that's relevant.

Logs from a manual recording that should have started at 03:20, I manually woke the system at 03:21. System was in hibernation at 03:15.

The list of times that GB-PVR has asked Windows to wake is now listed in the GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log, so check there to see if your wake up time is listed.

Just ignore the "NoWakeUps" thing. Thats a registry setting I can use to tell my development machine to not request wake up events.

Yep, the wake time was listed in the log as 03:17:30.

GB-PVR has done it's bit then, and successfully asked Windows to start the PC at the specified time. If the call had failed you would have got an error message in the logs.

Is there any way to check the wake up times that Windows has received ?

Not that I know of. If Windows doesnt return an error there, then it pretty much has received it...but what it does with it after that is a unknown to me.

On Vista you now can see all tasks in Administrative Tools->Task Scheduler. Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to change some yet.

I observe the same behaviour. Logs are OK, but the computer does not wake up.
I reinstalled 1.0.8 but it did not help. Unfortunately, I do not remember whether 1.0.8 was working properly before, since I hibernate my HTPC very rarely.

I restored a backup image of my system to revert to 1.0.8 and it works properly.

I haven't tried reinstalling 1.0.8 over 1.0.16.

Just for information for sub. 20 minutes ago it waked up with 1.0.16 on an reoccurring schedule. I had put it into hibernate just a few minutes before the scheduled recording. The reoccurring schedule has been set up some days ago. The wake.cmd was not executed during wakeup.

Yesterday it did not wake up after I had put it into hibernation immediately after scheduling a one-shot recording either manually or from EPG. The the recording was scheduled to start a few minutes after hibernation. I repeated the experiment several times.

It is still not clear to me if this is a GBPVR bug or a strange Windows behaviour.
