Woot! has a Compaq P4 3GHZ, 1Gig Ram, 160GBHD, Vista Home desktop (refurbished) for $299.00 +$5.00 shipping.

USA only, Today only.

Could make a nice GBPVR box or a client.

I would pick up one of these today if they would ship to Canada

I've bought from woot before and it's quality stuff even if you do buy refurb. The only issue I have with this deal is not enough free pci slots. Seems those things are hard to come by.

It's a nice system.. but I'm not buying anymore NetBurst systems... I want things that run cooler and efficiently.

I don't think you could build a machine from scratch with a Windows OS for this price.

I would have spent a few thousand dollars with Woot by now if they would ship to Canada. Once or twice a month they have something very good for very cheap. They had a Roomba robot for something like $100.00 and a Dyson Vacuum for $300.00 not long ago. Last week they had a 37" Plasma for $799.00 +5.00 shipping.

Thats true. PCI slots are going the way of the floppy drive. I have been motherboard shopping and needing a board with more than 3 PCI slots severely limits your choices.
