It's election day here in New Zealand and this is just a reminder to everyone that we are very lucky to live in such a great democracy.

SO GO OUT AND VOTE!

We went down and voted just after 9am.

It's funny - I was surprised to see a guy I knew standing behind the officials with a party badge on. He seemed to be one of a group of election monitors. I said something like "hi, how's it going?", and I just got sort of a nervous half nod half smile but no words. They mustn't be allowed to talk to anyone. I guess they dont want them saying anything that could be deemed as telling people who to vote for. Funny.
