1.0.16 Screensaver on MVP

I see the screen saver works on my pc, but not on my MVP. Is this right, or am I missing something?

It works for me, mine is set up via config.xml as

This is a known issue when using the old GBPVR UI, should be OK with PVRX2 UI tho

I checked my config file and everything looks ok. I noticed the name of the screensaverplugin was just "Screen Saver". I changed it to Simple Screen Saver to see if it makes a difference. I'm not sure what you mean about the new ui. I'm using the default blue skin which I assume is being loaded from the new executable. I guess I could force my mvp to reload the app to make sure.

What SuMo is referring to is the use of the old GBPVR mvp server instead of PVRX2, controlled through this config.xml setting <MVPServer>PVRX2.exe</MVPServer>

The screensaver works with both servers for me, but it was not in 1.0.8 and was re-introduced in 1.0.16

That's odd, I thought it was me, so reread the 1.0.16 changelog again and it only mentions the return of the screensaver in the PVRX2 server.
I haven't had a screensaver on the MVP since 1.0.8
BTW, I'm (still) using the gbpvr server.

I don't remember it going away in GBPVR in 1.0.8 which you seem to confirm, and that would explain why it is not in the changelog.

Oh ok, I remember reading about the new server with the 1.0.8 release. I checked my config file and I am using the PVRX2 server. Changing the ScreenSaverPlugin tag in my config to "Simple Screen Saver" enabled the basic gbpvr screen saver on my mvp. I also rebooted my mvp forcing it to reload the app, so I don't know if that helped too. Does anyone know what to put in this config tag to get it to play my slide show of custom pics for the screen saver?

Thanks anyway. I'm just glad I got the screensaver working. Don't want to mess up my tv.
