Update dvb epg and 1.0.16

Twice I have upgraded 1.0.08 to 1.0.16 and twice I have returned to 1.0.08.
The reason being that the epg updates do not work in the new version.

I have a Pinnacle 310i and receives digital tv and I get my EPG that way as well.
It works well in .08 but in .16 the updates start and it searches the first mux and counts down from 60 to 1. And there it hangs. No more updates.

I've had a similar problem, except that I've had to wipe my hard drive & reinstall XP Pro.

Saw that there was an update to GBPVR, downloaded & installed 1.0.16. Installation was seamless, but I get no program guide at all.

Which logs do I send?

I did try to see if there was something useful in the logs. But it turned out that there was more absence of a log than anything else. But off course, I should have attached the earlier. I zipped them and reinstalled .08. So this is .06 logs. I canceled the epg update after a couple of minutes (I think thats noticable in the log).

Config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log.

Make sure you've just done a scan then zip and attach them here.

This thread is about capturing EPG data from 'over the air' digital TV broadcasts. Your problem seems to be with grabbing/importing the XML data from Schedules Direct.

There was a post/thread earlier today that mentioned that the Schedules Direct XML data could be used with older versions of GB-PVR. You might want to search the forums for that.

I've seen this before (the countdown never goes past 1 second remaining) but I can't remember when and I can't find any backup of my logs when this happened to me (some time ago).

The System.AccessViolationException error is mentioned in the 1.0.16 Survival Guide sticky but I'm not sure if it's relevant in your case.

Perhaps sub might have suggestions as to where to look further next time he stops by.

I there is something in your broadcaster's DVB EPG stream that GB-PVR doesnt like, but unfortunately there isnt anything I'd be able to do about that until I'm back from my holiday.

I have applied all actions that seemed relevant from the survival thread directly at the last installation.

It's not a big problem for me personally, as .08 works. I just wanted to make the problem known. So relax and enjoy your holiday Sub!
