Schedules Direct Surname Does Not Match Member

Greetings!

This is my first time posting in this forum. I am still a newbie to GBPVR but have enjoyed it very much. I have also enjoyed the general good nature of posts here especially the kindness displayed by Sub in responding to everyone.

I'm finally stumped by a problem that I can't find any mention of in the forum. I have been trying to get switched over from Zap2it to Schedules Direct. I have applied the patch needed to use SD, set up my SD account and saved a channel lineup. When attempting to update my EPG from SD I receive the following error:

I have carefully checked my SD member account information and re-saved it (now) many times but the identical error persists. Any help would be much appreciated.

sounds like an xml error with the data itself...a tag isn't being closed..
or an incomplete download...
look near the end of the .xml on that line and see if the <tag> </tag> are the same...
the opening tag <tag> should have a matching end tag </tag>

hmm,not sure if it's changed, but make sure to set in config.xml <SaveZap2itXML>true</SaveZap2itXML>

and it wil save the file into c:\zap2it.xml
look in there..
but i'm not sure if any of that has changed for SD or not..
[look for similar settings, like <SaveSDXML>true</SaveSDXML> as it may have changed for the update]

Yeah, sounds like SD is returning some broken xml. I'd try it again later. We did occasionally see this sort of thing from zap2it, and they were always pretty quick to fix it.

SaveZap2itXML was set to false. I noticed it last night while looking at config.xml and wondered if it would generate an xml if changed. Not wanting to tamper with config.xml I left it until today after work when I read your post. When changed it did just as promised. Thanks for the info.

Looks like you were exactly right Sub. I tried updating EPG today after work with identical settings to yesterday and it worked without error. All channels appear to be the same as well as scheduled recordings.

I posted the question yesterday on the SD forum also and got 1 response today from someone else having the same problem.
