I would like to use live TV more, except that for now I have to do so with the digital sound out from the computer connected to my stereo setup.
The problem with volumes, for real-time, is commercials-- the volume of the commercials. As they get broadcast at higher volume ^H^H^H^H^H^H "with more penetrating frequencies" as the broadcasters say, it is pretty loud at times.
Is there a way, even theoretically, to have the same normalization with live TV that television sets can have as a feature?
If it's a recording it isn't a problem thanks to comskip.
