I already use the same tuner to capture:

1 - Local Channels via Card Tuner

2 - Sky via STB plugged onto the same card Composite In

But to do that I must configure two capture sources, and this way I have lots of conflicts between then. Sometimes I´m already recording something from Composite In and start to watch another show via the Antenna Tuner, and things crash my previous recording.

This way, I thing I would be great to have a way to tell GBPVR that the two Capture Sources can´t be used at the same time.

It does already attempt to do this, and shouldnt let you schedule two recordings at the same time. This feature has been in GB-PVR since day one.

What capture device are you using?

Ok. Then the problem must be my SoftwareRecorder plugin, and there´s nothing you can do about it.

But thanks for the fast answer, sub.

Yeah, it most likely is a problem with the SoftwareRecorder plugin. This plugin mustnt be returning the correct device indentifier when asked.

No, someone would have to fix the plugin.

I haven't played with it yet, but the graphRecorder plug in may be able to replace the softwareRecorder plug in, if you can create an appropriate graph. I have not idea if it would return better device info. I think it was based on the externalRecorder code.

It's not a problem with the plug-in - it's a limitation of the card. It only allows you to tune or use composite in not both at the same time. Since you need to set this up as two sources GBPVR can't do the type of conflict resolution you are asking which is to essentially treat 2 sources as one for recording.

You can do this with the graphRecorder plug-in, it allows you to use up to 3 graphs that are considered the same source. Just list the channel numbers you want to apply to graph B and C.

Since GBPVR recognizes it as one source their are no conflicts.

If the plugin returns the exact same string from IRecordingSource.getUniqueDeviceIdentifier(), then GB-PVR will treat those capture sources as being the same physical device - allowing it to realise there would be a conflict.

Well that would have saved me a bit of coding :0) I guess I can make it so you can set the ID in the config for graphRecorder - right now the software recorder, external recorder and graph Recorder do a hash to get a unique identifier for each instance. I think I will leave it as is for now.
