help with live tv sound on second monitor

so i've been tpying around with this for well since 1.0.16 was released. Its more just an annoyance than anything but its time to figure it out (im in the fix things mood)

pretty much i don't get any sound when watching live tv on my second monitor. however recording the show and viewing while it is recording works just fine and i get sound. i get sound with video's from recordings as well as from dvd's

I've tried all the different codecs i have which are just the nvidia motherboard ones.

my system is Asus A8N Premiun, 4400+ AMD, 7900 gtx, 2 gigs ram


any ideas are appreciated

Nothing springs to mind, but zip and attahc the logs and I'll see if anything stands out.

ok i deleted what i could in the logs file. but i am recording a show right now but i stopped got it to live tv and then out and recorded again for you. hopefully everything you need is there otherwise i'll just do it again. also have no clue what all the like pvrx2.exe, pvrx2.exe-1 are

I'd try two things. Try setting the audio renderer back to 'system default', and try setting the audio decoder to something other than 'system default'.

i've tried the system defaults as well nvidia nForce® as well as a DirectSound nforce® drivers. I also tried the default directsound and default waveout.

o well if you dont have any more idea's its fine. just kinda an annoyance i can live with

What audio decoders did you try?

i tried all four of those options (as well as system default) those are the only ones listed as well.

sorry i'm not super computer savy. codec wise i have the Ac3 Filter (i think thats what its called) for playing video's

Is AC3 Filter the only audio decoder you have listed other than 'system default', or are there others?

no there is the AC3 filter, MPEG Audio Decoder and Nvidia Audio Decoder. However i just tried switching them with no luck.

Also i tried using pvr2x on the main monitor and didnt get sound in live tv either if that helps

Can you try setting the audio renderer to 'system default' and the audio decoder to 'MPEG2 Audio Decoder', then reproduce the problem and repost the logs?
