Hi all,

I'm new to PVRs so sorry this is probably a stuipd problem to have but I haven't found anything on the forums that has helped yet.

I'm running WinXP, a Haupp 250, SB Live and Ti4200 on a Intel 2.8. If I run PVRX2 I get audio, if I play something back in Media Player I recorded from GB-PVR I get audio. But I don't have any audio in GB-PVR when watching live TV or playing back one of the recorded shows (that I've played in Media Player and know there's audio).

I'm guessing it's the audio codec......but I don't know what I'm missing to install or I have yet to set the correct options in the config.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Reproduce the problem, then zip adna ttach the logs and I'll take a look.

What audio decoder do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app? Dont leave it on the 'system default' setting.

I've tried various ones. Last thing I've tried is the InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder since in the wiki it says it's part of the 250 install package. There doesn't seem to be any explanation of the audio renderer setting so I've tried a few of those as well.

I'm not sure which log you wanted, so here's the most recent from gbpvr.exe. Just to be clear, I'm not getting any error, there's just no sound at all. Video and all functions seem to work just fine.

Which audio decoders did you try?

I noticed a stack trace in one of the other logs (exe-1) so here are a few others zipped together.

Okay, now I'm realizing the wiki's comment is about the video decoder, even though it's in the section talking about audio. RIF.

I've tried every decoder in the dropdown list for audio decoder, but that doesn't mean I have them installed. I can't figure how to get any of them. I search for audio decoder and I get links & such that are either commercial/paid or discussions about them. Remember, I'm an idiot about this at the moment. :o

It'll only list audio decoders it has found on your machine.

This error was because you told it to use the PVR350 hardware decoder, but didnt have one installed.

Well then that makes even less sense as to why this isn't working....

Edit: I can't seem to select any other hardware other than the 350, even thought I know I've got a 250.

Your PVR250 doesnt have a hardware decoder so you have to select the 'none - use software decoder' for this setting.
