Hello,

i have used GBPVR for a year now a loved it, better then sagetv and beyond tv. Only problem i have now is that zap2it is no longer working, and i don't know how to setup a xmltv to get my epg. If anyone can walk me through this as simple as possible so ican get it to work so i don't have to go pay for sagetv or beyondtv.

thanks in advance

Give this page a look:

XMLTV won't work all by itself. You still have to have a source. You said you didn't want to pay, so there are a couple of ideas on that page...

ok i have been following these directions and have run into a problem. when i get to the point of installing yapi2xml.eve it goes straight to an error "Run-time error '339':
Component 'comdlg32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."

What do i do to fix this?

Oz wrote in VB6. I do too. You can download the ZTools Support software and it will fix this. Oz often directs folks to my page...

Hope yahoo comes back to life or switch to one of the scrapers (see the developer forum).

I haven't gotten data since the 12th, yahoo may have canned it.

You could try this scraper: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...22&page=10

The first post in the thread has the download link. Read post #97 to get detailed instructions to use with GBPVR. Worked great for me.
AMD Athlon64 2800+

ATI Radeon X1650Pro AGP 8x 512MB DDR
1x OnAir HD, 2x HVR1600, 1x PVR-150
Cox Analog Cable and OTA ATSC
Windows XP SP3
GBPVR (>= 1.3.7)

try using zap2xml - you will find it at http://zap2xml.110mb.com/

Its really easy to setup and works well. Change your config from zap2it to xmltv and point it at the file created by zap2xml. Use the Windows scheduler to run the update file one a week after setting up the program to download 7 days.
