Another question,

When I try to play back recordings, all I get is a blank screen with audio (and the OSD is there). Then when I close the app (alt+f4) the picture shows up for about half a second before the program closes. Using PVRX2. Now, would it make any difference, that these recordings were made using GBPVR, before I updatred the software?

Thanks again, sorry for so many questions,

When that has happened to me in the past, with both the old version and the new version, I try a different video decoder and it has usually fixed the problem.
My other guess and what the problem might be relates to something that sub said when it first came out (likely with 1.0.08) about the pvrx2 not necessarily working with older video cards. It does work with mine and I found this comment from the "survival guide" (I think I upgraded after the problem was resolved because I didn't need the patch).

"No picture during video playback with older nvidia card
Several users name reported lack of video in PVRX2 with their older nvidia cards like GeForce2/GeForce4 cards (MX440 etc). This was resolved by updating the nvidia drivers, specifically: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php...3&postcount=30. You can find more discussion about it in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=28694 "

I am pretty sure it doesn't matter if the recordings were made before or after the upgrade

I didn't think it would matter either. But, everything else seems to work in the PVRX2 (live tv, I mean), so I am not sure why the recordings would not work. I have some more scheduled to record today, so I will check when I get home and see if those work.

I will try a different decoder, but aren't the two programs (GBPVR and PVRX2) sharing the same config, other than PVRX2 always works in VBR9, no matter what is set in the config?

Close. It always uses 'VMR9 Custom'. You'll probably find GBPVR.exe does the same when using this renderer.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I will do that when I get home. Last night, you had me add "- fse" to the end of the PVRX2.exe. Does that make any difference, either? I guess, I mean, what does that change? I assume it changes it to VMR9 Full Screen Exclusive (or whatever it is called).

I had to add that, so that the program wasn't all jittery and crazy.

Correct. (they are actually the same renderer, but the FSE version takes full control over the videocard)

Ok, here are all of my logs. Sorry, I didn't know which ones you would need.

My screen is only rarely a bit jittery and I haven't added -fse to my program. Should I do it and if so, how do I do it?

With respect to my earlier post, I was referring to the video decoder rather than the video renderer. I don't know what the difference is but I am currently using nero video decoder and vmr9 for the video renderer

One thing worth noting from your logs is that you're trying to use an old version of the Cyberlink video decoder that is not compatible with VMR9, which ends up using the Overlay mixer and an extra renderer. This will cause problems.

Some of these old versions can enable VMR9 support with the addition of a registry setting. For details google something like: Cyberlink EnableVMR9=1

Well, thanks again Sub. You are an amazing person... putting so much into this program.

I am trying to find something regarding this on google, but I haven't had any luck. I tried searching through mu registry for something along those line,s but could not find anything. What would be another way around this? Is there another video decoder I can download from somewhere? And if there is, how do I install it? I am fairly computer literate, but when it comes to this codec stuff, I am kinda stupid.

Thanks!!!
