IR blaster?

geez, all I want to do is flash my VCR. Clearly this isn't mainstream enough yet.

the mce one is the one you want its a remote and ir blaster aswell

I actually already have a remote, I just need gbpvr to be able to control my VCR.

What kind of capture card do you have?

mce remote/blaster is the cheapest option that works well
they are like $60nz so yanky dollars that would be $30US
so if you dont want the remote put it in the bin but they are good remotes aswell so do what you want hehe
