I recently replaced a WinTV PVR150 with a WinTV PVR1600. I have been unable to get the ATSC portion of the card working but that isn't my main concern at the moment.

The more pressing issue is that I cannot record two shows on all channels. For example, when the local Fox or NBC affiliate is chosen no other channels can be recorded. If I select another channel it says there is a conflict, even though there are no other programs being recorded at the time. This doesn't happen with all channels, just a few.

What steps should I take to remedy the problem? Before, it was recording shows, but they were all static. Looking through the logs it appeared that the tuners we being set to channels in the 100s and I don't have channels that high.

Thanks for all your effort.

If you only have one 1600 in the machine, you will only be able to watch/record one analog channel and one digital channel. If the ATSC portion is not yet operational, you are limited to the one analog channel.

There are two physical cards in my computer. One PVR150 and one HVR1600. I am having trouble getting the two to record at once unless I personally begin the recordings.

The "I replaced..." is a little confusing. Wink

Do you know which card is actually doing the (scheduled) recording (the 150 or the 1600)? What have you done in regards to the capture device #'s? Are both capture devices assigned all of the same channels? Can you record one channel and simultaneously watch a different channel?

No, I can't really determine which card is doing the scheduled recording. Today I removed the cable from the PVR150 and LiveTV worked. I am adjusting the Device #s on the cards in config.

The thing that makes this difficult is that I am unable to determine the device numbers using DeviceTypeCheck as the HVR1600 doesn't appear on that program.

I believe both devices should be set to 1 for your pvr150 and the analog side of your 1600.

That has enabled me to record two shows. I made the incorrect assumption that the card number was for all cards, not just card type.

You should be able to see which card is in use by right-clicking on the tray icon and choosing "status".
