I am thinking about setting up a client PC in the bedroom of the house that I have just moved into.

I was looking at getting a Intel D201GLY motherboard which has only one PCI slot . I was looking as using a ATI Radeon 9250 has anyone got any experience with this graphics card with the new PVRX2 interface?

The other option would be to buy a Nvidia 5200 or 6200 but I would like to try a ATI graphics card as I have not used one for a long time and I have had problems recently with stuttering which seems to plague Nvidia and not ATI.

It will be outputting to a 19 inch LCD monitor.

the 9250 is a direct-x 8 card & I don't know if it supports VMR9.

I've been holding off upgrading to the latest GBPVR on my server because it has an old G-force 2 mx400 card in it.

That surprisingly supports VMR9 but I don't know if it can handle the new interface.

I'm working on getting my 6200 pci working with an older compaq PC.
I had great recording playback with purevideo but DVD's just won't work.

tonight i'll try the winDVD decoder to see if that works.
Also, if your outputting to a 19 inch monitor I believe the 6200 will give you better hardware scaling than the 9250.

I use a 9250 and have had no problems with any of the render modes relating to the graphics card, vmr9, and fse both work fine.

I have had problems relating to fse mode and the system recovering from standby but I think thats a problem with the system and not with the gfx card itself.

I have a 9250 card and it works ok on low resolution but anything set higher than 1280x1024. But is no problem for GBPVR at all. I would like to get a better card but it would have to be a AGP card as i don't have a open PCI slot.
