Sample file to test hi-def playback?

Does anyone know where i can download a sample HD clip that I can use to test playback? I want to make sure my PVR is up to the task before I order on of those new HDTV capture cards (HVR-1800 or Avermedia M780).

Is where I normally get it from. Just WMV files with different resolutions.

Its probably best to try to find some MPEG2 samples, ideally from real tv channels, since these are what you'd record via a digital capture device in the US. These would provide the most realistic test of whether your video card is up to the HD playback requirements.

Look under "Video Quality Test Streams". Particularly the 12.0 and 17.6 Mbps streams.
