Hi all,

I'm hoping someone is able to help me before I go crazy.

I have finally managed to get my Nova T-500 card recognised by my machine (an Asus Pundit-R running XP Pro SP2) and GB-PVR recognises it too. Smile
Only thing is I am unable to map the channels. The Config program just crashes when it gets to processing 2 of 7 (?). Sad

I have searched this forum and found some info advising me to update all my drivers to avoid any conflicts, which I have done, but to no avail. It just cannot get past 2 of 7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as GB-PVR looks so much better than the Hauppauge software that came with the Nova T-500.

Cheers,

Martin.

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

To be honest, I'm not really sure.

Does the error message give any useful info?

I don't know if it's related but you seem to have a very strange XMLTV import for your guide data...

Code:
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 East : 406 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 London & South East : 406 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 Midlands : 406 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 North : 406 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 North East : 406 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 North West : 406 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 Northern Ireland : 413 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 Scotland : 413 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 South : 406 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 South East : 406 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 South West : 406 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 Wales : 407 shows
2007-10-24 01:10:43.718    VERBOSE    [3]     - channel BBC1 West : 406 shows
You're also importing data for all of the regional BBC2 channels and ITV1 plus all of the encrypted DVB-T channels and those only available on satellite.

Possibly not related - I was just wondering if the scan operation is tripping up as it's unable to work out which BBC1/BBC2 channels it should be trying to match. I think that happens later though.

Personally, I'd rationalise my XMLTV import.

Cheers,
Brian

That's the thing. There is no error message. My machine just freezes and I have to terminate the Config application.

Thanks for having a look anyway.

I'll let you know what the problem was if I manage to get it sorted.

Since the issues with getting GB-PVR working I decided that I'd have to install WinTV anyway, even if just to make sure that the card was working OK. It is, and I now have 30+ channels available. Big Grin

I've also managed to stop the mapping process after it had started, but before it froze, and have attached the error message that appeared along with a text file containing the full details of the error message.
If anyone can unscramble the jargon within it, I'd be most grateful...it's double-dutch to me.
