remove channels utility??

my cable company just re-arranged the channels around here.
schedules direct added all the channels to the new numbers automatically, but now I have 30 or so duplicate named channels that say "(no show details)"

is it possible for someone to make a utility that delete a channel from the listings if there are no programs on that channel listed??

I know I can do them one by one, but a utility like this could do it with a single click of a .bat file.

this would be great for using a couple days after editing your channel lineup to not send unwanted channels.

how about one to delete all channels so next update you'll have only current ch #'s? [basically forcing a total re-setup of channels..just update guide]

kinda hard to single them out cuz there's more than one place to adjust..
plus when new ch. imported, the old stuff needs to be adjusted to new ch. #'s
[previously recorded shows,etc.]

you should try a sqlite editor..easy enough to blank a table or even indiviual entries..i use Sqlite Expert,Personal edition.. just like editing a excel spreadsheet..

i'm guessing we could key off the current guide data, so that only channels listed there would be retained..
risky tho, as any problem deletes good channels...a big problem..
