Hi - I recently switched over to PVRx2. I can't figure out how to get the timeline status bar to appear during the recording. I used to be able to do this on gbpvr.exe by pressing the left or right remote button - but now that only displays the volume.

Any ideas on how to get this back? I tried searching but couldn't find anything on this.

If you press the blue button your remote, or Ctrl-B on the keyboard, does it show up?

Unfortunately I don't have a blue button. I have this remote.

I know its not what you want to do on a day to day basis, but does the Ctrl-B key show what you want to see?

Yeah - that works - unfortunately I don't have a keyboard hooked up to the machine...
Any way to get that feature back in the next release with the left/right key?

The reason it showed up in the past with left/right was because GBPVR.exe was only able to show all the OSD or none of the OSD, so when you chnaged the volume you'd see everything (show name, time line, volume etc). This was something that got no end of complaints.

PVRX2 only shows the OSD items that are relevent. for example, when you change the volume with left/right then it only shows the volume OSD.

Just goes to show you cant please all of the people all of the time....

The timeline can either be shown with the blue key, or by pausing, or by skipping forward or backwards.

Gotcha. That would be fine with me - but it doesn't show when pausing or skipping.

I seem to remember this was a bug in 1.0.16, and fixed for the next release. You cant win eh?

Sorry, no. My build has moved on and is no longer compatible with 1.0.16, so I'm not longer able to make patches (without a major hassle). You'll just need to find a way to live with it until the next release. (for example, use HIP to map a key on the remote to Ctrl-B)
