Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me.

I recently purchased a USB tv stick, the terratec hybrid xs, after reading some good reviews.

Connected it all up- ran the terratec software, the first time it started scanning it crashed about 5 minutes in. Ever since, it's been not scanning properly within the terratec software, even after re-installing. Just nothing happening when you click scan, either that or it taking an impossibly short time (about a second), after which it finds nothing. Can't pick up anything on analogue using the terratec software either, not even radio. I only live 2km away from a tv transmitter!

So I've tried to get it working with GB-PVR, it detects the card in the list under capture sources, but has the error:

"GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly and not already in use. (Reason: Failed to locate configured BDA capture device)"

when I try and 'map digital channels to EPG channels'. Shortly followed by a unhandled exception error.

I've tried on 2 different PCs, my laptop running XP SP2, and also my desktop running Vista x64, both have the same error. I've also tried both the drivers on the disk and the latest ones from the terratec website, making sure to uninstall them before re-installing. Also tried with 2 different aerials.

Logs attached.

Thanks, I hope somebody can help me with this. Help is much appreciated.

Can you run filtercheck.exe from the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log it creates?

Try adding this to the bda.ini file, then try again.

[Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS (Digital) type3]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS Digital Tuner
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Input0
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I'm not sure it'll work though, because it kind of looked like the drivers might be only half installed.

Wow, that seems to have worked. At least it's scanning and hasn't crashed or given me the error yet- many thanks!
