Hi,

I have a ATI Fire GL2 Card and it has a DVI-D output connector and a Stereo Output Connector. Is there anyway I can use this to connect to the TV?

P.S: I bought this thinking that Stereo Output Connector is a S-Video output. But this port has only 3 connector ports for 3 pins.

Please let me know if you need any further clarifications regarding this problem.
Thanks in advance.

Unless you have VGA or DVI inputs, you can't.

You could get one of those tv output boxes and connect that up through s-video / composite.
I use one of these on my client pc, and gives better tv quality (s-video) than the nvidia or ATI cards TV outs that I've used in it previously.

Thanks for the reply. I looked at the converter and seems like it will cost around $45.
I found the below VGA card, ATI Radeon X300 SE 128 MB PCIe in ebay.

So please let me know whether this card is correct for the purpose and that I can connect the TV using this.

Also my PC is a Dell Precision 340 Mini Tower and this is a diagram of the motherboard.
I think sockets here are PCIe. But just to be sure, do you think that the above VGA card can be fixed to this PC?

Thanks Smile

Yea this one should work, You have a AGP Video slot on your PC, AGP is a dying breed. If you are going to attach this to a Analog tv you would use the S-video output. Or is you have a Flat panel tv, IE plasma or LCD your could use a DVI to HDMI cable if it has HDMI or maybe it has DVI input. I use a DVI to HDMI cable and it works great.

Thanks for the reply.
This card is a PCIe card and my PC has PCI Expansion slots.
So I was wondering if my Motherboard would support this card.

Oh.... That's what I was wondering.
So the ports that I'm having are regular PCI ports. Sad

Where can I find a cheap AGP card with S-Video?
I looked in ebay, but AGP cards with S-Video are above $50.
