I know someone posted something about the MCE-3000 card in another thread, this card is AKA the PTV-305 card and is VERY close to a blackbird card (but selecting blackbird for the card doesn't work)

I am attaching the inf files that came on the driver CD so that we can come up with the proper entry for direct.ini and get this amazingly cheap card supported.

(see below for updated direct.ini entry)

Thanks

here it is, slightly edited out some stuff from my video card as to not get things confused with the PTV-305 entries.

Only thing with this card is it seems to be pretty grainy compared to other cards (ie hauppauge) someone in another forum suggested something about running graphedit and playing with the filters, but is/are there some tweaks we could make in the ini itself to help with quality, or no?

Most of the properties exposed in filters are private, and not exposed to applications (so not settable via GB-PVR .ini files). Pretty much all you can change from the ini files is the bitrate.

Hi, It's my first post :p

just got this card myself and not happy with tuner -- picture is too low in quality to record, but, if i use a cable box and output signal via RF -- picture is better -- acceptable, connecting via S-cable give the best results for this card.
my next step is figure out how to setup remote/IR blaster to switch cable box channels. Any help or links to this particular card/remote is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Vlad
