It looks like all the mpeg2 channels will get shuffled around to free up a mux that will be used for mpeg4 HD broadcasts, but not until 2010.
Set top boxes will have to be replaced if you want the HD, but IIRC somebody here was able to recieve the, London only, test transmissions with a Haup NovaT and an Mpeg4 codec.
