Can I turn off autoepg update?

The epg will only update properly if the BDA mulitplexer is set to Microsoft DVR-MS

intervideo doesn't work at all (0 file size for all channels)

cyberlink fails part way through - not always on the same channel

I have tried changing the pci latency as suggested elsewhere on the forums but that hasn't fixed it.

As i want to record straight to mpeg I need to run cyberlink

Is there anyway I can disable the autoupdate - even better would be a way to switch to dvr-ms for the update and then back to cyberlink

If you're having a problem with the DVB EPG, then switch to using xmltv instead.

I am pretty new to this and its a steep learning curve but I am very impressed with the product and the support forums - got lots of answers without even having to ask anything.

This is what a lot of UK users use for their EPG - grabs data from the RadioTimes.
You have to set it up as to what channels you want, then point gbpvr at the output file, do an epg update with clear then map channels (needed as the channel name can differ slightly between what is broadcast and what the RT calls it.
