Music only plays one song then locks up?

I am not a frequent poster so I am sure more input from me will be needed. I have the most current version of GB-PVR installed on a win XP machine. All seems to work fine with the exception of music playback. The music is MP3 files from riped CD's. The first song I play works fine and will play out and stop normally. If I pick more than one song GB-PVR will lock up and die. I get the "GB-PVR has encountered an error and needs to close...". I have tried to use the built in music player as well as Music Library 2 with the same results. I do not have a clue, and any help would be appreciated.

This may be similar, but I've never seen it crash before.

Also, can you use the original Music Library plugin and verify the same behaviour.

The PVRX2.exe did fix it. The problem is I am currently only using GBPVR and it is still broken. Yes the "original Music Library plugin" has the same problem. I may have to switch to PVRX2, but have not got my Hauppauge remote to work with it yet.

youve done a "fix" remote from the config app? my hauppauge remote works on pvrx2.

Yes got it to work fine. Had to turn it on in the config.exe under Misc tab (use direct access to hauppauge Remote). I guess it did not need to be checked for the old version? All seems to mostly work fine now. Thanks again for all the help. I will need to put in a little time to sort out a few more minor things, but this seems to work. One question. I just copied the patch PVRX2.exe over my currently installed one. What will happen the next time I upgrade?? Will I need to put the patch on again, or will the fix be in the new version?



read your post again and i also did a "fix remote" as well so not sure what did the trick. It worked with the old version before any changes....

No, next install will include all patches in the sticky.

Not sure if the direct access actually does anything any more. But I guess so.

The "fix button" updates a file called c:\windows\irremote.ini

Down the bottom of this there should be a [PVRX2] section. And after doing that you have to restart IR from the hauppauge menu.
