OK, first of all I take idiot pills, they are prescription.
I have been using a few different versions of GBPVR over the last year, and have been successful in getting it to work pretty well. The learning curve is a bit steep, but I'm getting there, I hope.
I upgraded about a month, or two ago, from 99.(something) to 1.0.16 (is that right?). Sometime in the last two weeks (I noticed it today), I can no longer get video in Live TV, or from the TV guide when I select "watch". I upgraded to 1.1.15 tonight, in hopes that would fix the problem (clean install), and it did not fix it.
What's strange is that if I click pause, the picture all of a sudden appears, and I can watch in time-shift mode. All scheduled recordings work fine. Is it possible that this is a problem with playback codecs, drivers, or Sub's EXCELLENT application (GBPVR is wonderful, Thanks Sub)? Or, is this just bizarre?
It's not a show stopper, but, not knowing much about how live tv is rendered, I am not sure what steps to take. I'd zip the logs, and attach, except, I am not sure what setting is necessary to record the proper logs.
edit: I am running XPsp2 + MS Patches on an Athalon 4000+ 64 (32-bit mode) w/1 GB RAM, and 1 TB drive space, an nvidia FX6600 video card, and 3 PVR-150 Hauppage capture cards. I am pretty certain that the system has plenty of horsepower to do the task, but, who knows... the system is dedicated to the entertainment center, and performs no other tasks.
(Hint: I installed Windows Media Player 11 a few days ago, because I was having issues with closed captioning playing back DVD's. -- I could not get CC to go away. I'm pretty sure it wasn't GBPVR's problem as I could make a second set of CC's appear on top of the others by manipulating the hauppage remote buttons.)
