I have a dish 322 receiver that goes into some sort of screen saver in the middle of the night. To attempt to fix this, I set up a 2 minute manual record at around the time that the receiver activates the screen saver. Unfortunately, I think that I accidentally changed the record channel to a station that I don't have.

Now, whenever I attempt to view 'recordings', it opens up for a moment (less than half a second) and then goes back to the menu. I checked in the manual recordings folder outside of gbpvr and the file is not there.

Any suggestions to fix this?

Do a recording then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Here's the logs. The 'recordings' option works fine in GBPVR.exe Just not in PVRX2.exe

Thats funny given GBPVRRecordingService.exe does the actual recording for either of them.

Was this the recording you scheduled? Did the file get created? Did it end up with a size greater than 0 bytes?

That was a new recording. Not the scheduled one. That one was recorded fine and I can open it from outside gbpvr. The real problem is that whenever I select 'recordings' in PVRX2 it immediately sends me back to the main menu after opening it for a brief moment. I initially thought that maybe a button was being held down or something but that wasn't the case. I thought that it might be due to the late night recording because I started that last night and today the problem started. When I opened up GBPVR.exe to see if I could open the 'recordings' menu, I could and I noticed that it said that the recording failed and that the channel wasn't set to one that I have. I'll let it record again tonight and resend the logs. Hopefully it will replicate the error. Sorry for the confusion.

One quick off-topic question: Is the channel list stored in an XML file somewhere? If so, where is it? I'm using schedules direct as my epg and I'm trying to install the XmlTvExtras plugin.

Thanks for all your help.

I think you have a recording that has an invalid file name. Can you hit the export recordings button in the config app, then zip and attach the recordings-dump.xml that gets created?

Unfortunately I cant tell from there.

Uncompressed that file is about 80mb. When I zip it up it's down to 16mb. Should the file be that large?

It can get that big for some people. Can you try doing an 'empty epg' on each capture source then try zipping it again, then let me know how big it is?
