Just wondering what plans everyone has for their setup in the new year.

Last year I had only one. To buy a respectable TV. I managed to pull that one together in the last 2 weeks of the year.

For 2008:

1. Mount my plasma and front surround speakers on the wall.

2. Find an enclosure for my Xbox, DVD player, STB's and receiver to keep the pet hair and dust out of them.

3. Install my GBPVR system in this case.

4. Spend some time optimizing the locations of my rear surround speakers and the levels on my surround receiver.

5. Mount a small lcd panel in my kitchen.

6. Extend GBPVR into my bedroom with an MVP or client system.

7. Stop using my GBPVR system for anything except GBPVR and make the TV the primary monitor.

8. Reorganize and add seating to my living room so at least 6 people can sit comfortably to watch a movie.

9. Upgrade my GBPVR hardware for HD recording / playback.
AMD Athlon II 630 on Asus mobo
XP Pro
2 Gigs DDR3
PVR 150
200 g HD (OS and Programs)
1 TB Recordings Drive
Asus Integrated Graphics with HDMI out
Harmony 659 Remote
Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3200 STB dedicated to GBPVR
Schedules Direct EPG Service

1. Watch all the stuff I've recorded.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

Mine is to:
1. Upgrade my main PC so that my current PC can become my GBPVR machine so I can do HD time shifting.

2. Wall up the 70's brick fireplace (wife's idea) and build in our LCD TV (my idea)- while also trying to figure out how to disguise the dvd player, vcr, satellite box, and GBPVR client and associated wires (wife requirement).

3. Dump Dish Network and (maybe) get AT&T u-verse.
GBPVR Media Center: 2 TwinHan DTV 3250's (OTA HD), 1 PVR150MCE U-Verse STB), AMD 3200+, 1 GB RAM, 250/300 GB HDDs, ATI x800
2 MediaMVPs
