lcd use less power
lcd higher resolution as far as bang for buck goes
lcd used to have a slower refresh but i think they have that sorted now
lcd are lighter
lcd last longer
lcd have less burn in
lcd better connection to PC
are you getting my drift

i think plasma may do better panning shots but that was when the refresh rate was a problem with the lcd not turning off and on fast enough Black to black
plasmas are meanty to do better black levels this is not such a big difference anymore
the colours are meant to be more natural
viewing angle is meant to be better but lcds are pretty good these days

LCD picture quality caught up to plasma real quick. Plasmas are less durable than LCD.

Honestly, imo, plasma is a dying technology.

Here's the important part:

Plasmas tend to be cheaper in BIG sizes.

LCD tend to be cheaper in small/medium sizes.

What size do you want?

CRT is still better than both, though. Smile
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

the 50hz doesnt actually matter for a lcd as it works different than a crt (not important)
you wouldnt even notice the difference after a day so go with which ever
