I was configuring settings in Gamezone and got an error message on closing Config. Afterwards I cannot see any plugins in Config. I receive an error message and the logs read...

Code:

2007-12-30 01:31:41.859 VERBOSE [1] Error loading plugin list: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at GameZone.GameZoneConfig.GameZoneConfigForm.ePSXeLoadConfig()
at GameZone.GameZoneConfig.GameZoneConfigForm.GameZoneConfigForm_Load()
at GameZone.GameZoneConfig.GameZoneConfigForm..ctor(XmlDocument document)
at GameZone.GameZone.GameZoneTask.GetConfigFormInstance(XmlDocument document)
at Config.xfd6951461fe46d87.x81464aef82823e23()

If I move the /devnz/gbpvr/Plugins/gamezone/ directory to my desktop Config loads fine and I can see and configure my other plugins. Before moving it and while still giving the Config error I can still use Gamezone in PVRX2 I just cannot configure any plugins.

I'm hazarding a guess that some file got corrupted when Config was taking my last gamezone settings. I don't know which one or how to correct it.

I'd appreciate a push in the right direction. Thanks.

I would guess its to do with ePSXe and the configuration, there is quite alot of discussion in the Gamezone forum around the issue that gamezone gets the config for ePSXe from the registry and adds a couple of entries there so that it can use control ePSXe settings. Have you played with epsxe at all? I would start there.

I would appreciate you come back with any fix you find that solves your issue and of course if you need more assistance.

Cheers

I had this same problem yesterday.

The solution is to search through your registry (regedit) and delete any referece to epsx, and delete all gamezone files. Then reinstall, and follow the directions on the Gamezone wiki page in regards to installing epsx.

Be careful when deleting from your registry, you could screw up other programs it you make a mistake.

If I ever get to complete GameZone v2 I will be aiming to eradicate this issue once and for all.

Thanks for the feedback. I came to the same solution. I would add however that after I deleted the epsx entries from the registry Gamezone retained the ePSX settings and showed it as enabled. This prompted a reoccurance of the same issue so make certain you remove your ePSX settings. I was not utilizing ePSX so I left it at that but will be certain to double-check the Wiki process if need be.

Thanks for the feedback, so for me to "play" with this issue the best thing to do is to uninstall ePSXe using the add/remove programs and then everything goes pear shaped? Just want to make sure I have some good test cases to try for GameZone v2

Cheers
