Hi,

I been racking my brain for hours on hours trying to figure thid out,

I installed the rf blaster drivers and now have the option to use the MCE Ir blaster to control the set-top box in the channel config insted of using HIPSEND.

I prefer the MCE blaster options as the channel switching is swift and precise.

The problem I have is that my sceduled recordings are being ignored by the blaster and only live tv and selecting any channel in the guide works flawlessly. I am at a loss to figure out how to get the scheduler to use the blaster. Is there a config file I can look at to point the scheduler to choose the irblaster directly as the guide and live tv do?

very frustrating as I have tried everything I can thnik of to resolve the matter including removing all channels and configs and basically starting from scratch as well as using the alternative drivers and even setting the tuner as a solo and still cannot get a scheduled timer to input the numbers. GBPVR change the set-top box fine in the guide and live tv but just refuses to help out on the recordings which is so important.

Anyone with any idea?

please help

Cheers!

Its not really clear what you're saying. Are you saying you're using the built in 'MCE2005 IR Blaster' channel changer, rather than the '.exe channel changer' with HIPSend.exe? You should be using HIPSend. The internal 'MCE2005 IR Blaster' plugin was never completed and is not fully functional.

Yes I had to ditch hipsend after I was bombarded with double clicks and and awkward key timing that could not be fixed with the delay command in config.

to my surprise the MCE2005 IR channel changer learnt my remote codes in seconds and works flawlessly until you schedule a recording sigh

Thank you for the quick reply.

I guess I will abandon the remote channel changes and try to use the timer function of the set top box to manual change the channel

Thank you for the insight

Cheers
