i've been having this issue for some time in 0.99.12 but today it got worse...

scheduled recordings just disappear (don't show as "red" anymore and wont be recorded either). or sometimes one show is recorded and the one following a bit later on the same channel is not.

even cancelling and re-scheduling does not always help.

what can i do to fix this? is it a known bug?

thanks!

Its the first I've heard of it.

You'd have to post the logs and database as soon as you notice a recording missing, along with details of what show and time, then I'll take a look for you.

ok here's my database.

if you look at time sat/05 jan 6-7pm you will see that the first "family guy" on channel 20.1 is set for recording, while the second one is not. later on at 10:30pm, same channel it's marked for recording.
on sun/06 jan between 11pm-12am on 50.1 "the simpsons" are not marked for recording (but i've set it to record all episodes on that channel). same day at 8pm on 2.1 the simpsons are also not set for recording.
mon/07 jan at 10pm family guy again on 20.1 and simpsons on 50.1 at 10:30pm.

these are a few examples i've found. hope it helps.

EDIT: sorry my bad "sun/06 jan at 8pm on 2.1 the simpsons" were not set to record (i forgot to add it) but the others are still wrong.

Do you realise that season recordings are associated with a channel? ie, when you created the season recording you chose from "all episodes on this channel" or "all in this weekly timeslot on this channel" or "all in this daily timeslot on this channel".

Its not going to schedule recordings for episodes that appear on other channels.

If an episode on the same channel doesnt schedule to record, it typically means you've either already got the same episode already recording (based on the unique show identifier), or already have it scheduled to record another day.

i have rules for each channel (just set to record all episodes). it explains however why it does not record the same show twice (although i thought i needed to set the option to not record duplicates - which is not set in my config).
however it does not explain the simpsons not being scheduled on sun/06 jan between 11pm-12am on 50.1. the episode numbers are EP00018693.0293 and EP00018693.0313 which i do not see in my archive (recording-dump.xml) or in the epg xml file. any idea why these are not scheduled? what query would i need to run on the DB to check the episode IDs?

thanks!

No you dont. I only looked into the Simpsons example you provided above, and you definitely dont have rules for each channel. You only have one season recording created for 'the simpsons' on the one channel, which explains why it is not recording episodes that air on other channels.

yes i know, i had realized that after posting the DB. the simpsons rule was not set for channel 2.1 because i did play with them earlier (delete/re-add to try fixing)(that's why i added the EDIT: sorry my bad "sun/06 jan at 8pm on 2.1 the simpsons" were not set to record (i forgot to add it) but the others are still wrong.)

however the 50.1 rule was there and the episodes not being recorded on sun/06 jan between 11pm-12am were on that 50.1 channel. here is the DB with the same issue (after i've scheduled the simpsons on the other channel 2.1).

i hope i'm not too annoying i'm just trying to figure out why sometimes recordings that are not duplicates are not scheduled.

thanks!

Can you hit the 'update EPG' button in the System screen of PVRX2, then wait for it to complete, then zip and attach the PVRX2.exe.log?

Do the same thing in the GBPVR.exe system screen, then post the GBPVR.exe.log.

Be warned though, if any problem is found and fixed, I'll only be providing a fix in the current release and only for the PVRX2.exe executable.
