Hey, folks...

I've been running a GBPVR box in my living room for a few months now. It works great, so I decided to set up a client box (a PIII, 400MHz dual-processor PC with 512MB RAM, running Windows 2000).

Config runs fine, but when I try to start pvrx2.exe, I get the following error (when I try to start the other frontend - sorry, but I forget the name of the executable - the splash screen displays, then nothing happens and the program shuts down):

Quote:************** Exception Text **************
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at GBPVRX2.x0061b801bdf12d35.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

I've enclosed both the full text of the error (as reported by .NET), and the log file. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Can you attach the pvrx2.exe.log?

Whoops! I didn't see pvrx2.exe.log. It's enclosed.

My video card is a GeForce FX 5700LE, which I believe supports VMR9.

Thanks again!

This is the last link in your logs:
Quote:2008-01-02 13:51:16.484 VERBOSE [1] getValue: /settings/ClientRemoteDirectory : \\Dvr\gbpvr
Are you positive this share is correct, and there is no firewall software getting in the way.

:o No, I'm not sure. In fact, that was the problem. I forgot to share the gbpvr directory.

So sorry! I don't normally make stupid mistakes like that. Thanks for your help.
