I've had some experience of the two myself now, so I thought I'd add what I've found to this thread.
GBPVR is undoubtedly easier to use, and has the advantage of Windows having decent drivers for most TV cards, whereas Linux support is more patchy. The support on this forum is also very good. I was ignored on the Linux DVB list because I didn't have the expertise to modify and rebuild drivers from source. On these forums I got a straight answer very quickly.
GBPVR wins without a contest on ease of set up, use, etc.
However, MythTV has more features and more development, mainly because it is open source. GBPVR is coded (very well, I must add) by a single person and is obviously going to be directed by what that one person wants. Plugins help, but there are some key functionality missing that MythTV provides.
Overall I think that as long as GBPVR does everything you want it to do, then it's probably a lot easier to use, but there are some things that MythTV does that GBPVR can't offer.
