FSE mode seems to solve lots of peoples nasty video tearing and stuttering problems but it also causes lots of new problems. There's the resume problem, the "Sorry your system doesn't support the required renderer" problem, the squiggly patterns on exit problem to name but a few...
To be fair, lots of effort has gone into these problems one by one but I was wondering if there was an easier way.
Is it possible, for example, to render the menus in VMR9, then to switch to FSE only to play the videos, then back again as soon as possible..? I'm thinking that would fix all the FSE problems I get in one hit...
Is that possible..? Having written this, I'm thinking that it would require an unusual level of flexibility from Windoze, but you never know...
