Any way to get Fast find plugin (nice work btw) to make a * seach in stead of finding programs by entering the first letters in the title?

I would like to find the program "Taxi Cab Confessions" bt entering "cab"

Possible (in the next relaese?)?

jorm,

I'm using findfast as replacement to the search epg function. I like it a lot, in particular since you've included wildcard usage.

However, I would *really* like it when wildcards were used by default. So if I search for "life" all epg-entries with life are shown. A second thing would be to have telephone-keyboard implemented. In fact it would work like the filter that is used in the jukebox plugin. Then, entering 5433 would result in everything with "life" plus all other combinations that can be made with 5433.

Maybe you can "borrow" some code from the jukebox plugin, the source code is available...

I will have to look at the jukebox code. That is not a feature I can see myself using but I will look into it.

In the next release there is an option WildcardElement in the skin. Set its attribute to true and you will always have wildcard in the front of your search.

Jorm,
Two particular applications of what I wrote above are. Many, but not all films are in my epg with "film" at the beginning of the title. Sometimes it is at the end. Searching on 3456 will render all films in the epg then. Much easier than moving with the arrowkeys on the remote over the virtual keyboard.

The second application is searching for several favorite programs for my kids.

But I'll try the latest version tonight or so.

Look on the Wiki or search in this forum for AddReOccuring, it's a utility helper application that will allow you to Search the episode guide by key word, and add any occurence of that key word to the scheduled recordings. It can be placed in the PostUpdateEPG.bat file that is run after the Episode Guide is updated. Might be able to use it to handle the kids programs.

Enable that wildcard setting in the skin. That should ease one of your problems.

I am one of those people whom has to look at the phone when I see a try to dial a number like 1800-ATT-XXXX to figure out what numbers correspond with ATT.

I will take a look at that though.
