I'm not sure how many people on here are currently viewing the Freeview trials in NZ but I've been playing with GB-PVR since the test transmissions started late last year using my HVR-3000.

I hadn't been able to view most of the channels since then due to the AAC codec issue but since sub released a patch on the weekend I'm now able to tune these all in and have a great picture but just have 1 small issue - using the EVR renderer the picture seems to "shimmer" up and down in the bottom 1/2 of the picture. This is very obvious with text onscreen. Switching back to VMR9 gives a perfect picture.

Is anybody else encountering this or is it an issue somewhere with my system?

Just a a side issue I've just realised I never patched my 1.1.5 version with a patch for the resume from standby issue (system locks up using VMR9 when it resumes from standby) since I'd always been using EVR. I now can't seem to find this patch, can anybody point me to the thread it's in?

Cheers

I cant say I've seen that with EVR here. It looks fine on my setup.

I have tracked this issue down to the new Catalyst 8.1 driver on my ATI 2600 Pro. Rolling back to 7.12 makes the problem go away.

Interestingly the issue doesn't appear to be noticeable on the TVONE HD transmission that is playing the Blu Ray demo disc. It is occuring on all the SD channels though.
