I am recording analog video with a PVR-150/HVR-1600. For Live TV the sound is just fine however in recordings I get an elevated background hiss when the sound levels are low. This is annoying, anyone have an ideas where to start looking?

I am using AC3 as my sound decoder.

2.4GHz Pentium
1GB RAM
7600GS AGP Video
PureVideo Decoder
Windows XP
PVR-150
HVR-1600
