Using and waking from standby (S3)

Saw this great post on using standby / sleep issues when trying to use S3 standby. For those not in the know typically windows uses S1 standby which saves almost no power, but there is an S3 state which saves considerably more. It just can be difficult with PVRs.

It was the http://www.exoid.com/?page_id=47 article that you mentioned that I used a while back to get my comptuer to sleep properly. Its amazing that you need registry tweaks to get your computer to sleep properly in xp.
