What are these UK Freeview Audio #2 channels ????

I have the Freecom DVB-T stick and have pulled in all my channels. Most are working fine but BBC, ITV, C4, & FIVE all show up with secondary 'audio #2' channels.

E.g.
BBC ONE
BBC ONE (Audio #2)

Where this occurs, the EPG data is only available for the Audio #2 channels. In fact my guide starts at channel 16 (QVC) whereas BBC ONE is channel 1 but is not in the EPG.

Do I have to do something in the EPG Mapping screen? :confused:

Ignore all #2 things - ISTR they are things like subtitles, second languages.
Not sure about off-air EPG,s I use the RadioTimes/xmltvgui one.

with the mapping bit you have to match the channel and the EPG name, but they should be the same anyway I think, although you still have to map them.

Something obviously wrong with your EPG scanning. Do a scan and zip and post your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log files.

WRT Audio #2 channels, this is a quote from another post about this...

They carry whats called a 'visually impaired commentary'. They don't carry the main audio of a programme just the occasional voice of a narrator who describes an 'action' which has no dialogue - an example would be someone hearing a noise outside and they walk over to the window to see what's going on - the narrator would say 'Fred walks over to the window and pulls back the curtain'.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I disabled all the 'Audio #2' channels, refreshed the EPG and now everything looks good. :p

I did a test before posting my question where I just disabled BBC ONE (Audio #2), ran the EPG refresh but it didn't fix BBC ONE. So I'm l relieved removing all those #2 channels fixed it.

I'm blown away by the power of gbpvr compared to BeyondTV which I had been using for the last few years.
