PVRX2 crash when exiting recordings

I have just rebuilt my system, now it has a HVR-1600.

It is an AMD 2400, 512 megs of ram, ATI 9500Pro.

When I exit from a recorded show, or sometimes live tv, I get a PVRX2 crash, the message is just:

"PVRX2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

I am stumped, anyone have any ideas?

From past experience, I'm pretty sure it'll relate to either the audio or video decoder you're using. Try a different set.

Some of those settings appear to help, but I still get some crashes after testing a bunch of different files. It also seems to happen more reliably when I click Back\Exit on my 45 button Hauppauge remote.

Reproduce the problem, and repost another set of logs now that you've changed decoders and I'll take another look.

Thanks so much for taking a look, I just crashed it while trying to change channels from a digital channel to an analog, I am assuming this is all related.

I'd try to find a combination of decoders other than these Hauppauge ones. We've seen them cause this in the past.

If you dont have others installed, you can download the free AC3Filter audio decoder and DScaler video decoder.

Thanks, it is hard to reproduce this, though I get crashes on exit from PVRX2 with most combinations of decoders, the HCW MPEG-2 Video Decoder is also the only video decoder with which I can get a decent frame rate, I zipped the logs from the last crash on exit, that was with DScaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder and Dscaler Audio Decoder, the same thing happened with the Dscaler video combined with the AC3Filter decoder.

I did not get a crash with the HCW MPEG-2 Video Decoder and AC3Filter yet, I am still testing that.



Edit: I just discovered the Cyberlink works better than anything when I go to the settings and enable the hardware accelleration, if this is a conflict with my decoders, this should stop it, and the performance is much better than the HCW MPEG-2 Video Decoder even. I will let you know if it crashes again, (unless you are chronically tired of looking at this of course ). But thank you kindly for all of the assistance, and for a fantastic program!
