Sub, I wonder if I have something here...??

I re-read the TrayIconWIKI for the umpteenth time ... and saw this again..

Custom Icons

You can use custom icons by storing them in the gbpvr program folder using the names:

MVP_idle.ico
MVP_streaming.ico
MVP_disconnected.ico


Then I looked in the GBPVR folder, and those icons are not there, nor anywhere on my new HD. When I installed VISTA, I installed GBPVR new and copied only the DB files etc across. Maybe this also explains young Bobins observation that it was OK on an upgrade? Could it be the 1.2.13 doesn't include these? (The Plugin doesn't either, but perhaps should if the GBPVR install no longer includes them?

If anyone has those three icons btw, I'd LOVE to have a copy of them back, especially if that's what's missing. Can someone post them please?

Afaik you only need the "MVP Tray Icon.dll" in the gbpvr\plugins\MVP Tray Icon dir. For me it works ok with just that dll.

The mvptrayicon.dll contains all you need and shouldn't require any extra icon files.

I hadn't tried the "<MVPLoadPluginsEarlier>true</MVPLoadPluginsEarlier>" option before but did so tonight.

Two things:-

1) The mvptrayicons now appear in the task bar. Set "<MVPLoadPluginsEarlier>true</MVPLoadPluginsEarlier>" to false and they don't appear. Set to true and they reappear.

2) whether "<MVPLoadPluginsEarlier>true</MVPLoadPluginsEarlier>" is set true or false, the error in the logs is ALWAYS there!!! So it's not the error that's stoping them from working.
NPVR Version= 7.0.2.250621

I'm happy for you! Unfortunately, I cannot say the same, i.e. doesn't work for me.

Wrt the alternative mvp-tray-icons: As understand it you have to construct them yourself, they were never available for download.
Although I must admit that I thought in the beginning of the tray-icon there were 2 or 3 icons in the gbpvr-dir.:confused:
