Just installed 1.2.9 and using Monogram AAC 0.9.0.0 and am getting the sound now when playing back the TVNZ .ts files! But it is out of sync, so just wondering if anyone else is running into this issue and/or any places I need to look in order to resolve this. Thanks.
Regards,
Hasso

I think there is some known issues with the audio sync in this decoder. It looks like the author of the decoder has tried to improve the timestamp handling in the 0.9.1.0 & 0.9.2.0 versions, but instead introduced some other problems. I'm fairly sure he is working on resolving it, so hopefully we'll see a 0.9.3.0 sometime soon.

Yes, I did first try 0.9.2.0 and found that the sound dropped out on a fast recurring basis. Haven't seen any feedback from other NZ DVB-T users on what their experiences have been.

So it's not just me having this issue. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey, At least you guys are getting sound - the HD test channel with the making of the sony bravia ad (bunnies) - Does it have an audio track?

I can't get sound, but also the filters in use shown in the logs are AC3filter, MonogramAAC, CoreAAC, MPEG Audio decoder (now that it's recording in MPG instead of TS)

Why does directshow pick more than one type of filter?
(I'll get the logs when I get home)

Thanks

Mediaportal users (well, one in NZ and one in Norway anyway) seem to have more success with the monogram AAC decoder: http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/improv...ndex4.html Wonder what the difference is?

The author of the monogram decoder said he'd also received reports of problems from mediaportal users.

I had problems too so switched back to using the AC3 channels until the AAC decoder is more mature.
Cheers

I see there's an update to the Monogram AAC decoder: http://blog.monogram.sk/janos/2008/03/15...oder-0930/
Anyone tried it yet?

Hasso

I tried it yesterday. It fixes missing audio and stuttering present in the last two versions of the decoder.

There still seems to be a sync issue, but I'm not sure if that is in the decoder or GB-PVR. I'm still investigating this (or will be when I've clear some day job stuff).
