Hi,
I installed GBPVR 1.2.9 yesterday, managed to find all the DVB-T tv channels (Norwegian) but when I try to view one of the open channels I just get a blank screen (although the EPG program info does appear) and no sound, plus CPU load goes to max.

I am using CoreAVC Pro 1.6.5 H.264 codec and the Monogram AAC codec, and DVBViewer works just fine on the same machine with about 60% CPU load...

So I wondered if GBPVR will actually show Live TV with H.264 /AAC LATM encoding? Or only playback of recordings? Or is there a special setup?
I have selected CoreAVC as the H.264 codec but I couldnt find anywhere to select the Monogram codec.

Yes, H.264/AAC LATM channels work for both live tv and playback of recordings. We use this same setup in New Zealand for our DVB-T system.

For video I've done most of my testing with the Cyberlink H.264 decoder. The CoreAVC also works for me but has some problem with breaking up when changing channels. I asked the CoreAVC decoder manufacturer about this and they confirmed it is a known issue that they hope to fix in the future.

For audio I use the MONOGRAM aac codec. I had to use v0.9.0.0, because the two later versions have some problems that can result in only a second or so of audio then silence, or stuttering. The author of the decoder is looking into these problems. It doesnt currently give you an option for which audio decoder to use because this is the only audio decoder that I know of that currently works with AAC LATM. If another decoder appears that supports AAC LATM, you can edit a setting in config.xml to use it.
