I just installed the latest version (1.2.9) on my Windows XP machine and when I try to play live tv, it plays fine for about 10 secs, then the video and audio start stuttering and finally freezes. The application is not frozen as I can press esc and get out.

Now, if, while I am watching live tv, I press the pause button for a sec or 2, then it works fine.

I have a PVR-250 and it works great with MythTV. Actually, it worked great with the previous version of this app too...

Any ideas?

Thanks!!!

Joe

Nothing has really changed that would cause this in the newest release. Post the logs and I'll take a look.

OK, as a side note, I use the GPPVR.exe (Old UI) and it works great...

Does this help?

I doesnt seem to like something about the intervideo audio decoder, and instead decides to add a second audio decoder. I dont know if this is the ultimate source of your problems, but I'd try a different combination of decoders.

Well, I have 3 options for audio decoders, default, Intervideo, and mpeg, and all 3 do the same thing... However, if I select the audio renderer as my actual device, then the audio is fine, but video grinds to a halt...

OK, installed the video decoder that you listed and it fixed the grinding to a halt issue, but still studders.

No problem, I am going back to Linux anyway because of other issues with Windows, so I will use MythTV.

Thanks for looking into this for me... I appreciate your time!!!

It was primarily the audio decoder I wanted you to try.
